To Grill or Smoke? (Or Both!!)

There's no better aroma in my opinion, as far as summer time smells go! There's nothing more satisfying than working all day outside in the warm summer weather, and then having that reward at the end of the day of eating your melt-in-your-mouth creation that was working as hard as you all day in the smoker.

This creation of Apple Jack Barbecue Sauce was an inspiration from several Pinterest pins that I combined (and added my personal touches to) to make that perfect (as my husband likes to brag) sauce that clings to the meat with the apple butter like texture. There's no need to repeatedly baste your ribs, chicken, or whatever you're smoking. The smoky taste is accentuated by adding liquid smoke to the sauce while it is simmering. The Jack Daniels alcohol portion will evaporate, but I add a little more at the end just before canning for that whiskey flavor which just goes with barbecue sauce, I believe, but it can be made without for an equally satisfying recipe!

You'll have to try this whether you make it yourself with the following recipe or purchase it from me!
