The Joy of Peaches

One of the most challenging questions of the summer is "What kind of yumminess can I make with all of these peaches?" Faced with so many options, and the fact that so many recipes made with peaches are seasonal, makes it especially difficult to come to a definite decision because I want to make EVERYTHING!
I look forward to the summer fruit trucks that frequent our small town in late August through September. To be one of the first customers is almost impossible, as other people are having the same dilemma as myself wanting to get a jump start on baking and canning.
The juicy syrup and ripeness of the perfect peach are hard to assign one descriptive word as there are so many senses involved. The taste is above satisfying, the smell is.......well, they make room fresheners and lotions to smell like this, so just saying. The visual is of course indicative of what will be consumed. The hearing is a tougher sense to describe, other than the pleased responses of friends and family enjoying the end result! And lastly, the feel of those fuzzy skins is a contrast to the sumptuousness of what's inside!
At the risk of going on and on all day long about this delicate fruit (and cutting into my creative time), I want to share this recipe for Peach Mango Jam which I adapted from a few pinterest pins and made my own. Mangos are a wonderful addition to this jam in the summer months, but if you don't have access to fresh, frozen will work as well.
I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do!
Search under the recipes tab for the recipe, and enjoy the fruits of your labor!
